Job Title: Bread Baker

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to join our team as a Bread Baker. As a Bread Baker, you will play a vital role in our kitchen team, ensuring the highest quality of beautiful, consistent, and delicious bread. If you have experience with making bread, possess excellent culinary skills, and enjoy creating delicious treats, we would love to hear from you.

This position has a schedule of Wednesday to Sunday, 6:00am to 2:30pm. This role is based out of our Bathurst location (3507 Bathurst St) however we are planning to move our production to our Etobicoke shop in the coming months (34 Six Point Rd). Reliable transportation to each location is required.

Duties may include:

- planning a bread schedule keeping in mind scaling sizes, loaf estimates, proofing/baking needs, and other constraints
- mix, fold, shape doughs according to schedule to ensure consistent and delicious items
- ability to troubleshoot and dough-related issues that may arise
- mix sourdough starter
- assembling savoury items such as sandwiches, and breakfast croissants
- improving qualities of our existing bread products as well as assisting in the development and testing of new bread products
- maintaining a clean and neat workspace
- help out in other departments as needed
- contribute to a positive work environment
- maintain a well tracked inventory for all ingredients

**Skills**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen, with specific experience making sourdough breads
- Proficient in food handling and safety regulations
- Ability to package, bake, and cook various food items
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

Pay: $16.55-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 36 - 44 per week
