Think Communications, a leading business systems strategy and integration company for small to medium-sized businesses is seeking an additional IT professional to join our Professional Services Team as an **IT Project Analyst**. Headquartered in Winnipeg, our organization offers a variety of technical solutions to clients so that they make work smarter, not harder, with a goal of providing clients with the best, most reliable IT experience possible.
The **IT Project Analyst **will be responsible for the delivery of project tasks in a timely manner under the guidance of a Professional Services Delivery Manager. This position is client-facing, interacting with customers in person and remotely. This position requires after-hours work, which is planned in advance.
They will have strong communication skills to build effective working relationships with various clients and internal departments. They will have the ability to think critically and troubleshoot problems for clients in a timely manner. With a strong attention to detail, documentation will be accurate and robust.
**Responsibilities and Duties**:
- Complete assigned project tasks according to the project plan and direction from the Professional Services Delivery Manager
- Manage tasks from multiple projects at once.
- Provide technical mentorship to Service Technicians as requested, acting as an escalation point where required.
- Investigate and train on new technologies as they relate to new opportunities.
- Maintain communication with the Professional Services Delivery Manager, Sales Team and Operations Team on project tickets, status updates and challenges with project delivery.
- Document workflow and resolution in our incident tracking system
- Audit, draft and update network and site documentation
**Personal Qualifications**:
- 5+ years of related experience
- Key interest in further training/certifications
- Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle
- Self-motivated and dedicated team player
- Exceptional problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
**Technical Qualifications**:
- Desired Certifications include: MCP or greater, CCNA or greater, VCP, CISSP and other relevant certifications to technologies from Microsoft, Cisco, and VMWare to name a few
- Microsoft Windows Server Platforms 2016 and later
- Microsoft Windows Desktop 10 and later
- Microsoft Windows Hyper-V and VMware virtualization platforms
- Microsoft 365 Implementation / Migration Experience
- Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy
- Switching and routing
- Firewall access rules and NAT
- Network services including DHCP, DNS and routing.
- Microsoft Azure Experience is considered an asset.
**Experience**:
- Information Technology: 7 years (preferred)
- Technical Project Implementation/Execution: 5 years
**Technical Skill Set required**:
- Knowledge of O365, SharePoint, and One Drive administration, migration and configuration.
- Experience in network architecture and design, including routing, switching, and VLANs.
- Understanding of server administration, deployment, upgrade, and decommissioning processes.
- Familiarity with firewall deployment, configuration, and replacement.
- Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery processes and solutions, including Cove Backup.
- Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Hyper-V.
- Understanding of cloud computing and cloud infrastructure, such as Azure and AWS.
- Knowledge of IT security principles and best practices, including authentication, encryption, and access control.
- Familiarity with scripting languages, such as PowerShell, Python, and Bash.
- Understanding of database administration and management, including SQL Server and MySQL. - Good to have
- Knowledge of ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) framework and practices. - Good to have
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide solutions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
**Experience**:
- Information Technology: 5 years (preferred)
- Technical Project Implementation/Execution: 5 years
