**Job Title**: Custom Furniture & Interior Decorator

**Employment Type**:Full-Time, On-Site

Furniture Market is a leading furniture retailer with a 30,000 square foot showroom located in St. John’s, NL. We are looking to add a charismatic, entrepreneurial, and design-savvy individual with a love for furniture and interior design to our team.

If you have a strong sense of aesthetics and a desire to share your passion with clients, then you could be the perfect fit The key duties of this role will be consulting with clients on design options and styles for in-stock and custom furniture, and interior decorating projects. Your outgoing, approachable & friendly personality will be key in being successful in this position.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist showroom clients with product selection, including finishes, fabrics, and leathers
- Develop a custom design centre within our showroom
- Assist our current sales team with merchandising our showroom to maintain dynamic settings that clients can envision in their own homes
- Keep our product selection on the leading edge through researching industry trends, consumer behaviour and popular styles, fabrics, and designs
- Create visually striking showroom displays featuring a variety of style settings using your creativity and design skills
- Perform administrative support duties as needed

**Other Requirements**:

- Strong computer skills and previous experience with design/decorating software
- A strong desire to develop your personal brand through social media and traditional marketing channels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Dynamic sense of aesthetics and composition
- Knowledge of upholstery and décor
- Diploma in interior decorating or similar field is an asset

**Salary**: From $40,000.00 per year
