Under general supervision of the Payroll Systems Accountant, the Clerk B processes Records of Employment and garnishments for all civic employees.

**As **the **_Clerk B - ROE & Garnishment_** you **will**:

- Process Records Of Employment (ROE) for all 3 payroll groups - Salaried, Hourly, Bus Operators - according to Federal Statutory legislation.
- Process garnishment for all three payroll groups - Salaried, Hourly, Bus Operators - according to legislation.
- Monitor payroll forms inbox and process payroll adjustments as well as update direct deposit and TD1 information in accordance with payroll deadlines.
- Perform general data entry for the branch, and other duties as assigned.

**Your education and qualifications include**:

- High School/GED.
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is preferable.
- One (1) year general office experience.
- Experience using MS Office products including Excel and Outlook.
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft is preferable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Excellent Organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize work and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to deal with stressful situations, confidential matters and irate employees with tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with employees, other Civic departments, and external stakeholders.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to maintain accuracy with a high degree of attention to detail.
- Ability to complete work assignments with mínimal supervision and direction.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations with accuracy.
- Ability to handle Confidential information and sensitive matters in a professional manner.
- Ability to work effectively as part of the payroll branch team.
- Ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
