Receiving Manager

Packing orders, assembly, shipping and receiving incoming shipments
- Confirm and record the receipt of shipments, prepare items for shipping, and load and unload trucks
- Responsible to ensure that all receiving and shipping security procedures are followed at all times as per Company policy
- Direct the activities of all receiving to ensure the successful operation of the department
- Ensure that product is handled with care and in a manner that no unnecessary damage will result
- Ensure that merchandise received is accurately checked and accounted for before properly storing it away
- Ensure that packing slip always correspond with purchase orders with regard to quantities and prices charged
- Ensure that cleanliness is well maintained throughout the department at all time including outside of loading docks and garbage disposal areas
- Responsible for the accuracy of all inventory and participating in the inventory counting
- Responsible for the maintenance of receiving and garbage area equipment including trucks
- Receive shipments, check quantity against invoices, and store materials
- Supervise employees involved in loading and unloading materials, checking invoices, pulling stock, operating material handling equipment, and other warehouse and delivery duties.
- Maintain an inventory of stock on hand of both short-term storage and that which is replenished as needed
- Maintain responsibility for securing and arranging the storage of stock and the pulling of stock
**Knowledge based Skills**
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of warehousing
- Knowledge of common carrier services, practices and procedures
- Knowledge of inventory methods and procedures
- Ability to ship and receive materials by following standard warehousing principles and practices
- Ability to select carrier based on cost, services, route, etc.
- Ability to maintain current inventory records
- Ability to direct the work of others
- Ability to evaluate situations and make decisions
- Ability to keep records and make reports
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with vendors and employees
**Requirements**:
- Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in a similar role
- Must drive a forklift and have a permit
- Strong ability to utilize excel, word and other similar software
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Communication, multitasking, supply chain management, and teamwork
- Language: English and French
