The Parts Automotive Consultant role is to ensure all required parts are ordered and received in respect to Crestview/Capital Automotive Group’s standard operating procedure.

If you are hard-working, passionate, and determined, then Crestview/Capital Automotive Group is for you The Parts Person is responsible for the everyday process in making sure vehicles coming in are completed in a timely manner. This person should be effective at maintaining a relationship with suppliers, and be meticulous about ordering accurate inventory.

The Job
- Accurately identify parts necessary to complete repairs in and booked in for the shop
- Work with and maintain relationships with vendors to locate and order parts
- Order parts by phone, online and through body shop management system
- Receive parts and inspect for claims quality and accuracy
- Ensure timely distribution to the shop in accordance with the production schedule
- Receive, tag and distribute parts immediately upon receipt or by 9am for overnight deliveries
- Supplies Body Shop Technicians with parts as required.
- Return and re-order incorrect or damaged parts
- Track incomplete order status (outstanding orders, backorders, and credits) and follow up as necessary
- Manage inventory, order parts, create purchase orders, and receipt invoices according to company standards and policy
- Answers and directs incoming phone calls and inquiries promptly, thoroughly, courteously and accurately
- Assists in keeping parts department and shop clean, orderly, and well stocked
- Places ordered parts on assigned part racks and carts in a timely manner
- Assists in maintaining all departmental tools, equipment, and vehicle.
- Post parts and sublet invoices and maintain an accurate accounting record of the part
- Keep work area clean and well organized
- Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure an efficient and effective repair
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
- Other duties deemed necessary by management

The Qualifications
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information
- One year of experience in a retail or wholesale parts department
- Ability to interpret vendor catalogues
- Ability to use parts department computer system
- Good communication skills
- Hold a drivers license, with a clean driving record
