As a scientist in our Gastrointestinal Research & Development group your creative mindset, combined with your deep technical knowledge of renal development and function, will be utilized to identify emerging technologies and develop novel products.
Working within the Kidney Research team, you’ll initiate and support the early planning stages of product development. You, in collaboration with your peers, will continuously improve and support our existing kidney product portfolio to provide scientists around the world with cutting-edge products and technologies that help advance scientific discovery.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the assigned product line(s), including performance criteria, research and quality design, product launch, and technical support
- Independently identify areas of improvement and generate 1-5 year product development plans
- Build collaborative relationships with colleagues across tissue teams and departments, and adapt communication styles to specific audiences and situations
- Serve as a scientific ambassador of the company to promote the STEMCELL brand and mission

**Knowledge and Qualifications**
- In-depth knowledge, skills, and expertise equivalent to PhD with 0-5 years, Master's with 4-8 years, or Bachelor's Degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience in the kidney research field
- Extensive knowledge and expertise of stem cell-derived in vitro kidney models required, prior experience in the development of robust assays for drug screening or functional testing is desirable
- Proficient in independent experimental design, execution, and data analysis, as well as preparing scientific documents and delivering presentations
- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams and provide supervision to junior colleagues
