**Job Summary**

The Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a wide variety of activities including shipping/receiving and storing products and maintaining inventory and associated records. Work force management responsibilities include training, planning and assigning daily work.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Monitor daily operations and allocate staff to ensure deadlines are met while overseeing warehouse personnel through delegation, training, coaching, and planning.
- Provide leadership by setting clear expectations, modeling high standards of work practices, and fostering continuous improvement across warehouse functions.
- Supervise the reception, handling, storage, and distribution of all freight, products, and supplies entering or exiting the warehouse, ensuring efficient and orderly operations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and staff to ensure timely response to customer instructions and maintain professional relationships.
- Track and maintain KPI performance, providing feedback to management based on inbound/outbound audits, inventory counts, and system-related discrepancies.
- Maintain strict control over inventory levels by ensuring accurate WMS (Warehouse Management System) set-up, cycle counts, item master data, and transaction documentation in line with company SOPs.
- Instruct warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate shipping of production orders in adherence to delivery schedules.
- Enforce company policies related to safety and security; identify hazards, report injuries, and implement safety improvements to maintain a secure work environment.
- Perform billing functions by ensuring all customer invoices are accurately processed and sent in a timely manner.
- Ensure that business expenses are tracked and reported to accounting in accordance with financial procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse space that aligns with operational and safety standards.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, business ethics, and operational objectives.
- Perform various other tasks as required.

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 2-3 years of direct work experience in a warehouse or supply chain position
- Direct working knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation management
- Direct knowledge of WHMIS and other safety systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, MS Teams and Word
- Strong knowledge of warehouse documentation & admin functions
- Solid organization and analytical skills
- Ability to adapt to constant business change and fast learner
- Ability to interpret and act upon complex instructions
- Solid project management skills are essential
- Strong written and verbal skills to communicate with all levels of the organization and its executive team
- Strong quantitative and critical thinking skills
- Team leadership and teambuilding abilities
- Capacity to anticipate problems, identify root cause and solve problems to resolution.
- Ability to safely operate a fork-lift or other cargo moving machinery
- Ability to remain calm in stressful situations, work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to physically handle items of variable weight, up to 50lbs

**Educations/Certifications**
- College/University Diploma or greater
- Master in Logistics Management or MBA is an asset
- Forklift Certificate is an asset
- WHMIS training
- TDG Certificate is an asset
