Operations Supervisor

To support our operational growth, FB Bullet is looking for an Operations Supervisor to support our Surrey BC Division on a variety of projects throughout the Lower Mainland.

Reporting to the Regional Manager, and working daily with Leadership and Construction Management, the Operations Supervisor will oversee all aspects of a project from start to completion. This will involve monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures, organizing and participating in stakeholder meetings, and ensuring that project meets or exceeds clients' expectations.

**Responsibilities**:
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

- This position will work along side other Operations Supervisors, covering different regions.
- This position will be responsible for the oversight of internal civil construction crews, along with General Foremen.
- This position will be responsible to review incoming work orders from clients, and assign to appropriate General Foremen.
- This position will be responsible to review concluded work order billing proposals before submission to client.
- This position will liaison with Contract Management personnel from clients to resolve any issues in their assigned area.
- This position will be responsible to conduct employee reviews at pre-determined intervals for all crew members.
- This position will be responsible to review and approve or deny incoming tool requests, submitted by Construction Foremen.
- This position will be responsible to review and approve or deny incoming time off requests, from all crew members.
- This position will be responsible to review and approve or deny incoming time card and production report submissions for crew members.
- This position will be shared responsibility for crew related disciplinary discussions. This will be shared with Regional Manager and other Operations Supervisors.
- This position will be shared responsibility for crew related recruiting. This will be shared with another Operations Supervisor.
- This position will be shared responsibility for fleet (and tool) related requests, approve or deny incoming requests. This will be shared with the Fleet Manager/Foreman.
- This position will be responsible for oversee the correct and appropriate usage of materials, tools and monitor to mitigate unnecessary waste.
- This position will be responsible to assist in incident reporting, and investigation when applicable.
- This position will be responsible to participate in crew tailboards, conduct VSL's with crews, and QC compliances checks periodically.

**Requirements**:
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Class 5 drivers license or greater
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership position, in the construction industry
- Minimum 5 years in the civil construction industry
- Self motivated, able to work alone or as part of a team
- Strong ability to problem solve
- Strong customer service/client relations
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to coordinate/oversee multi-employer worksites
- Demonstrated ability to work in high pressure situations, and meet deadlines
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft office based)

**SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Willingness to work in remote project locations, embedded with operational work groups
- Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, coordinating resources as well as the ability to analyze data and solve problems
- A friendly professional demeanor and ability to excel in a team-oriented environment
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented aptitude; a high degree of accuracy is required
- Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and meet deadlines
- Ability to learn and adapt to change

**Additional Details**:

- Successfully complete pre-employment/pre-access drug and alcohol testing to obtain clearance for site access
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable abstract
- Requires regular travel to various project sites and office locations
- Complete background screening and criminal record check
