Are you a detail-oriented and compassionate professional looking for more hours or a part-time opportunity in a medical office setting? We are seeking a **Medical Office Assistant** to join our office **once a week (Mondays)** to support and provide excellent patient service in a clinic located at Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll. **T**his role is an initial 6-month contract with a high possibility of extension**.

**Scope and Responsibilities**
- Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming environment
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR)
- Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries professionally
- Assist with billing, invoicing, and processing insurance claims
- Prepare examination rooms and assist healthcare providers as needed
- Maintain office supplies and ensure a clean and organized workspace

**Who We Are Looking For**
- Diploma or Certificate in Medical Office Administration from a recognized educational institution
- Prior experience as a Medical Office Assistant or other administrative roles in a healthcare setting
- Proficiency in EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and billing proceduresMondays, 9:00am - 5:00pm
