Double Take Thrift Store is a Yonge Street Mission social enterprise with a twofold purpose: to provide hands-on employment training to job seekers, and act as a community resource where gently used, high-quality clothing and housewares can be purchased at affordable prices.

**Job description**

Double Take is seeking a full-time Online Store Specialist who will be able to curate a collection of vintage and handmade items gleaned from our donations in order to post and sell on our online platform.

**Responsibilities**:

- Picking clothing from our donations to feature in the online shop, and training staff in what to look for in each season
- Working with our staff and volunteers to create handmade upcycled designs for sale on the website
- Photographing, pricing and posting clothing online, helping with donation processing when needed
- Developing an understanding of our ideal customer and creating social media content to reach that customer
- Working on marketing campaigns and posting daily updates on social media platforms
- Researching and planning content for all platforms from existing inventory, weeks in advance
- Developing an outreach strategy to connect with local influencers and other potential partners
- Answering Instagram and Facebook messages and redirecting enquiries to relevant staff members
- Posting donation callouts for product categories as required by the store
- Drafting online newsletters for mailing lists
- Providing updates on engagement activities, including activity reports, and social media stats
- Training and working with volunteers as directed by the Manager
- Assisting with in-store retail activities as needed

**Qualifications**:

- Education in fashion, digital media, marketing, or related field
- Strong eye for design & photography
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-focused
- Comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
- Takes initiative on tasks and creative assignments
- Experience or interest in using Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest and Shopify for business
- Can manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Passionate about sustainability in fashion industry
- Knowledgeable about Canadian and international retail brands
- Customer service experience an asset
- Demonstrated commitment to YSM’s/Double Take’s mission and values.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends; a police check will be required

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $19.00 per hour
