Cemetery Grounds Person (Full-Time)

Mount Sinai Cemetery Association is currently recruiting a Full-Time Grounds Person.

DUTIES:

- Participate in the interment process, including the excavation, set up and completion of interments.
- Perform landscaping and hardscaping duties around buildings, structures, monument foundations, roadways and the general property (lawn maintenance, planting, weeding, watering, etc.), and any other duties as assigned by the Grounds Manager.
- Operate heavy equipment (excavators), motorized vehicles (4x4 utility vehicles, pickup truck) and small equipment (push lawnmowers, zero-turn grass cutters, trimmers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws)

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum of 2 years experience in general light construction or landscaping/hardscaping preferred
- Minimum of 2 years experience operating heavy equipment (excavators/tractors/4x4 vehicles) preferred
- Ability to perform outdoor/indoor physical labour, lifting up to 50 lbs
- Customer Service oriented
- Work in all weather conditions
- Fluent in English (oral/written) and basic computer and numeracy skills
- Valid Ontario G Driver’s License

EMPLOYMENT & BENEFITS:

- Full time hours 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, 5 days per week (Sunday to Friday shifts)

This position is based on a 37.5 hour work week, and may change as required for the needs of the business, including working of overtime when required.
