**Our expectations**:
Under the direction of the International Merchandising Manager (IMM), this position will administer the global sourcing process in the international marketplace. The incumbent in this position tracks the progress of products through the sourcing process, clarifies specifications, develops, critiques and inspects prototypical products. Interacts with other corporate departments, communicates with vendors and serves as the primary contact for the Lowe’s foreign offices and Canadian merchandising.
**Your role**:
- Serves as principal contact to the remote global sourcing offices. Prepares communications of timelines, product specifications, coordinates shipping/receiving of prototypes and ensures follow-up on issue resolution.

- Initiates, tracks and ensures completion of product sample development, item testing, packaging, instruction manuals, branding and design work related to SKUs.
- Serves as primary contact with global sourcing offices as needed to clarify issues, troubleshoot problems and ensure timely execution of tasks on project timelines.
- Constructs, maintains, and updates computer databases to organize the tracking of information.
- Constructs, maintains and updates program timelines and ensures completion of tasks through appropriate documentation and communication.
- Assists in the creation and delivery of PLR vendor presentations including product assembly, POG set, and presentation materials.
- Provide to, and ensure completion of, needed paperwork from vendors.
- Enter and maintain vendor information in computer and hard copy files.
- Manages the testing of products, including but not limited to: packaging and safety standards conformity.
- Work with the global sourcing offices in their efforts surrounding product development initiatives, and troubleshoot global sourcing issues.
- Helps prepare and deliver product proposals to Merchandising during PLR. These presentations include provisions for financial requirements, packaging, fixtures, store service and other related items.
- Assists in the negotiations of, lead-times, payment terms and any other import program costing variable.
- Ensure proper classification of all items by engaging the senior classifications analyst.
- Assist IMM in capturing, documenting and communicating Merchandising’s 1-3 year import program development plan including import sales and margin budgets.
- Initiate and or attend meetings with Cross-functional areas.
- Perform duplication of tasks above where required in support of Lowe’s international retail expansion.
- Adherence to International Merchandising Process
- Communication of project status to relevant parties
**The qualifications we are looking for**:
- Education: 4-year degree in Business or related field, with 2-3 years relevant professional experience; or High School diploma with 3-4 years relevant professional experience.
- Technical: Knowledge of Merchandising and/or Logistics processes, within the Lowe’s corporate environment preferred.
- Computer skills: Competent knowledge of Mainframe, Database and office software (word, excel, PowerPoint and outlook) required. Prior experience with Microsoft Project and digital imaging very helpful.
- 1 or more years’ experience with a large retailer within the Supply Chain or Merchandising functions.
- Superior analytical skills, particularly in the area of financial and strategic analysis
- Strong leadership and communication skills and demonstrated ability to support multiple teams at the same time
- Ability to interface effectively with management at all levels of the organization
- Excellent time management/organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple high priority tasks simultaneously and a very dynamic and fast passed environment.
