Applications are invited for the position of Associate Dean, School of English Language Studies in the International Division, located at the Welland Campus. The salary range is $104,262 to $139,013 for a 35 hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.
- English for Academic Preparation (EAP),
- Short-term EAP,
- Academic English for College and University Studies,
- Summer English,
- Teaching English as a Second Language (Graduate),
- Other language based access programs,
- International ESL contract training,
- Overseas delivery of English as Foreign Language (EFL)

This involves the coordination of programs, curriculum development and review, effective hiring and training of faculty, and the management of workload assignments. The Associate Dean works towards critical enrollment and revenue targets for this student population, including proving academic input for proposals, monitoring and reporting on progress and addressing concerns. The Associate Dean designs and controls an expense budget, supervises staff and manages the delivery of English as a Second Language and TESL programs for over 400 students. Other duties may also be assigned as necessary.

**Qualifications**:

- An Honours degree in a relevant discipline
- Graduate degree preferred
- TESL/TESOL Certification preferred
- Minimum 7 years combined experience which includes management and industry experience as well a minimum of 3 years of successful teaching at a post-secondary level
- Demonstrated knowledge of cultural awareness and international development
- Experience with curriculum design and development in a post secondary environment
- Demonstrated experience in developing student-centred programs and supports
- Previous academic management experience
- Advanced communication, analytical, liaison, time management, problem solving and prioritizing abilities
