Applications are invited for the position of Early Childhood Education PACE Program Manager in the Community, Justice and Fitness Studies Division located at the Welland Campus. This position is temporary and approximate dates of the appointment are January 2025 through January 2027. The salary range is $76,029 to $95,038 for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary. Reporting to the Dean, Community Service, Justice and Fitness Studies Division, The Professional Advancement for Careers in Early Childhood Education (PACE) Programs Manager (PPM) will oversee key academic and operational processes, working collaboratively with the Dean, Associate Dean, and staff (faculty and support areas). The PPM is the main point of contact for students and staff. The successful incumbent ensures quality of curriculum and coordinating the overall delivery of the PACE program. The PPM is also an advocate for the program, working with internal and external stakeholders to implement the goals and priorities.
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Provides advice and counsel to students from point of program entry to point of exit.
- Acting as first point of contact for feedback for students, problem-solving student-related issues, and identifying resources for staff and students to support their needs.
- Provides support to employers regarding program orientation and program requirements.
- The PPM participates in quality assurance processes and works with the Associate Dean to support program review, student enrolment, and start-up processes.
- Schedule meeting times, develop agendas and lead program meetings that advance PACE deliverables.
- Responsible for providing input to the Associate Dean regarding academic strategies, identifying trends from the early years sector, and acting as a program advocate with external communities.
- Collaborates with faculty and support staff to continually review and improve content and delivery of all aspects of curriculum.
- Responsible for field placement oversight of the various PACE deliveries.
- Collaboratively works with the faculty, Field Placement Officers to monitor the academic progress of students and identifies/recommends departmental retention and student success strategies.
- Contributes to program outreach and fosters ongoing relationships with appropriate industry and business representatives with the College of Early Childhood Educator and Ministry of Education
**Qualifications**:
- Two-year diploma in Early Childhood Education
- Registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators
- A minimum of seven years of current work experience working as an Early Childhood Educator
- Post-secondary teaching, training experience or field placement supervision
- A thorough knowledge of the multi-dimensional nature of the ECE field
- Excellent project management and creative problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated leadership / supervisory skills and experience developing and maintaining productive relationships with a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to influence others
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
- Experience using various computer software packages including Microsoft Office
- Supervision related to early childhood education field placement
- Evidence of commitment to student success and academic excellence
- Experience as an Early Childhood Educator in a licensed childcare setting or EarlyON
**Salary and Total Rewards**:
Pay band range: $76,029 to $95,038
Target hiring salary: $76,029 to $85,534
