The Accounts Receivable position is responsible for preparing and posting deposits; ensuring all payments are entered accurately and deposited in a timely manner. Handle reconciling regional receivables, and process regional fleet transactions. Position works closely with Territory Managers on solving and supporting customer issues, as well as ad hoc duties as required.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Post customer payments by recording cash, cheques, and credit card transactions
- Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions from deposits
- Updates receivables by totaling unpaid invoices
- Maintain records by filing invoices, debits, and credits
- Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from sales, customer service departments, and from customers
- Resolve valid or authorized deductions by entering adjusting entries
- Resolve invalid or unauthorized deductions by following pending deductions procedures
- Resolve collections by examining customer payment plans, payment history, credit line; coordinating contact with collections department
- Summarize receivables by maintaining invoice accounts; coordinating monthly transfer to accounts receivable account; verifying totals; preparing report
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential
- Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related tasks as needed

**Experience that Best Prepares You**:

- Post-secondary education in a Business related field
- 5 years of experience in an intermediate accounts receivable role

- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Access
- French/English bilingualism considered an asset
