**Position Summary**

Operates a large or heavy truck that transports cargo to and from specified locations on time and according to schedule. Role involves adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and ensuring the timely delivery of cargo to its destination.
- We are looking for talented, dedicated Class 1 Truck Drivers to join out fleet.
- Start time - 12pm-2pm
- Regional/Local Deliveries
- Home everynight
- Competitive pay per mile and hourly rate
- Occasional hand bombing required

**Location: Nanaimo Bc**

**Schedule: Monday - Friday**

**What you will do**
- Operate vehicle safely and responsibly, adhering to all DOT and company safety regulations.
- Conduct routine inspections prior to departure to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Manage appropriate cargo documentation and provide necessary paperwork upon the delivery of goods.
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of the truck, verifying cargo and ensuring items are properly stored and secured.
- Maintain contact with dispatcher to provide status updates, clarify special instructions, and notify about delays or issues during transport.

**What You’ll Bring**
- Valid Class 1/AZ License is required.
- Clean 5 years Commercial driving abstract (no more than 3 demerits and 3 negative events).
- Ability to life up to 50lbs.
- Must have excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable with smartphone technology.
- Reliable, flexible, punctual and safe driving behaviors.
- Comfortable backing in all manner of tight spaces and locations.
- Flat bed experience an asset.
- Must be bondable and legally able to work in Canada.
