**Duties**
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary tools and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Provide chairside assistance, including suctioning and maintaining a clear field of vision for the dentist.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow to optimize office efficiency.
- Sterilize instruments and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
- Support the front office with dental receptionist duties when necessary, including answering phones and managing patient inquiries.
**Experience**
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred, with knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics being a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment are crucial for success in this role.
