Working in unison with the National Campaign for Better Hearing's awareness campaign (campaignforbetterhearing.org), our core philosophy is to "do what is best for the client" while increasing awareness of the effects of hearing loss and the benefits of hearing devices._ - At HearingLife we are the Modern Hearing Care Professionals: Our Purpose is to provide Life-Changing Hearing Health with a Mission of Helping More People Hear Better._ **Scope** Reporting to the IT Director, the Help Desk Associate is responsible for providing a high level of IT service and support for the Company’s head office employees and I.T colleagues, coordinate the IT helpdesk for internal users (IT support) within the organization and ensure that the role is in compliance with the Company’s high standards of performance for optimal business functioning. **Duties and Responsibilities** - Attend and remain onsite at the Toronto office from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm. - Coordinate and manage the internal Retail help desk IT system by assigning issues, resolving, escalating or providing a temporary solution to all user requests - Work with HR to onboard, provide orientation, support and offboard staff - Assist office staff for all IT related issues as required - Image, setup and install hardware/software for Retail computers/staff - Organize and deploy software updates for necessary upgrades related to Computer workstations, desktops and laptops - Day to day maintenance of the Company’s local network, MS Windows Servers and workstations - Order, setup, coordinate repair and maintain Office printers and/or other peripherals - Work with current Toronto IT staff to support Toronto office - Set up/permission new user accounts and hardware - Ultimately responsible for keeping network clean, virus and spyware free - Work closely with Kitchener and Somerset I.T departments regarding any IT functions/issues necessary to drive and support clinics. - Support users on use of the Cisco VPN client - Support corporate SharePoint site - Configuration and support of mobile devices (Apple iPhone/Android - Assist with special projects as required by the IT Director - Provision Beelink mini desktops for use on clinic TV's - All other duties as assigned **Education and Experience** - Post-secondary education such as a diploma or degree in information systems, communications, computer science, or another related field is required - 1 - 2 years of related experience - Proven skills in support and troubleshooting - General PC assembly and repair - Knowledge of Active Directory administration, including managing and creating Organizational Units and Group Policies - Valid drivers license required to fulfill duties across locations - Must be detail oriented and organized in order to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment - Excellent interpersonal, time management and communication skills - Able to work independently and prioritize tasks/responsibilities - Dependability to work assigned hours to ensure full coverage.
