**Job Summary**
- The Dalhousie Student Leadership Academy, generously supported by the McCall MacBain Foundation is an innovative and transformative program dedicated to developing exemplary leaders through all stages of their post-secondary education. Reporting to the Director of Student Success, the Associate Director works collaboratively with Directors and Managers within Student Affairs, as well as partners across the University, the McCall MacBain Foundation, and external community with the aim of empowering students at all levels to develop and realize their leadership potential and to foster a culture of leadership at Dalhousie University.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Articulating and championing a compelling vision for the Student Leadership Academy, anticipating future trends in leadership development and higher education, and translating this vision into actionable plans with clear goals, objectives, and measurable outcomes, focusing on program growth, impact, and sustainability.
- Cultivating and stewarding strong relationships with key partners, including students, faculty, staff, mentors, community partners, and the McCall MacBain Foundation, and facilitating collaboration and communication across the university to integrate leadership development efforts.
- Leading the ongoing development and enhancement of the SLA curriculum across all tiers and pathways (Foundations of Leadership, Leadership in Practice, and High-Performance Leadership), ensuring alignment with best practices, the Inner Development Goals framework, and the Five Practices of Exemplary Leadership, while championing innovative pedagogical approaches and experiential learning opportunities.
- Planning and overseeing all SLA events, including workshops, speaker series, retreats, annual and term intensives, meet-ups, and graduation ceremonies, which includes managing logistics, coordinating speakers and facilitators, and overseeing participant registration.
- Managing all resources related to SLA program delivery, including budgets, equipment, and supplies, which includes tracking expenditures, negotiating contracts with vendors, and ensuring efficient use of resources.

**Note**
- Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.

**Required Qualifications**
- Master’s degree in related field (Leadership Studies, Education, Business Administration), with five years’ of progressive experience in post-secondary education, leadership development, program management (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing leadership/educational programs, providing direct support to students/clients and indirect support through program oversight.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with partners and sponsors.
- Demonstrated professional commitment to fostering a respectful workplace culture and actively contributing to diversity and inclusion.
- Proven ability to work independently with mínimal supervision while collaboratively delivering targeted outcomes on time and within budget.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
