Tigercat Industries, a leading manufacturer of forestry equipment, is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. As the Inventory Control Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing inventory control processes and ensuring that inventory levels are maintained and effectively managed at optimal levels.
Responsibilities include;
- Analyze inventory data and generate reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement
- Develop and implement strategies to improve inventory control processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency, such as implementing new technologies or systems
- Improve and maintain inventory control procedures and processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices
- Ensure inventory levels are managed at optimal levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory resulting in cost savings
- Collaborate with department leaders to review, analyze, and develop action plans with production and purchasing teams to ensure that inventory levels are optimized and production schedules are met
- Work with supervisors and managers to ensure shipping / receiving efficiency and accuracy
- Ensuring all systems are up to date with accurate inventory levels
- Monitor cycle count programs to ensure targets are met, and ensuring any changes are incorporates
**Skills and Experience**:
- A Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in inventory control and management in a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams Knowledge of inventory control software and systems, with experience in implementing new systems or technologies
- Finance knowledge in budget planning and control
