Job Vacancy: Part-time Chef at Catering Company

Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Part-time Chef to join our dynamic team at Neue Catering. As a Chef, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Head Chef in planning and executing culinary operations for various events and functions. You will be responsible for upholding our high standards of food quality, presentation, and kitchen efficiency.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with the Head Chef to create innovative and appealing menus for events and gatherings.
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards and in a timely manner.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in placing orders to ensure adequate supplies at all times. -Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, following sanitation and safety standards. Assist in developing and implementing kitchen policies and procedures.
- Foster a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement among kitchen staff.
- Execute culinary tasks with precision and attention to detail. Aid in the creation and testing of new recipes, keeping up-to-date with industry trends. ‘
- Assist in cost control efforts by minimizing waste and maximizing resource utilization.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Chef or in a similar role within the catering industry. Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and ingredients. Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Attention to detail and a passion for creating exceptional culinary experiences.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Creativity in menu planning and recipe development. Flexible schedule, including weekends and evenings, as events require. Multilingual skills are a plus.
