**OVERVIEW**: Bell Animal Hospital is looking for Customer Service Representatives to join our team in Belleville, Ontario who is friendly, professional, courteous, & enjoys working with people & pets. The Client Service Team is the first and last impression our clients and their pets have when they are at our hospital. A CSR must be able to communicate well, showing care and compassion for both clients and pets.

**Responsibilities for services coordinators include**:

- Greeting & assisting clients - in a friendly, professional manner; creating a welcoming environment and putting people and pets at ease.
- Admitting - notify doctors & technicians of patient arrival; Update client/patient files including name, address, telephone numbers; vaccination/heartworm history; thyroid/heartworm/other tests due; Prepare health certificates, rabies certificates, and sterilization certificates; Keep client flow moving smoothly
- Financial transactions - Invoicing/billing -Invoice clients & receive payments; estimates; obtaining pet Owner confirmation and processing payments; Maintain cash drawer & change; Closing batch end of the day
- Maintenance of medical records - Setting up new clients/patients and updating existing clients/patients; Prepare patient records, consent forms, drop-off sheets, cage tags
- Discharge patients - Dispense medications, pet food, and supplies with appropriate instructions; Client education - regarding annual examination, vaccinations, sterilization, euthanasia, use of OTC products, nutrition & prevention. Counsel clients regarding home care, medication administration, pre/post-operative care, blood test preparation, etc.
- General Housekeeping duties - Perform daily light cleaning as needed of the reception office, lobby, restroom, computer/office equipment/accessories
- Perform miscellaneous tasks/research at doctors’, office manager’s & team’s requests

- A clean & neat appearance
- Remain calm in emergencies or with upset clients
- Recognize potential danger & know how to protect self, pet, and other clients & their pets
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- Team members are required to follow any other instructions & to perform any other duties requested by their supervisor.
- Work independently & unsupervised
- Honor confidentiality
- Familiar with canine & feline vaccination protocols, medical & pharmaceutical terminology, and internal/external parasites (or ability to learn this)
- Have outstanding listening/hearing abilities

**EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE**:

- Prior experience in an animal hospital is highly preferred.
- Ability to read & interpret documents; Ability to write routine reports & correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Computer Skills - Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite, & AVImark

**CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES**:

- Veterinary assistant diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License

Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 35 per week

Additional pay:

- Bonus pay
- Overtime pay
- Retention bonus

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)
