The successful candidate will be able to work independently on laboratory activities with responsibility for maintaining instruments and equipment used in the lab. It is expected that this position is able to work independently, with direction from the Laboratory Manager.What You Will Be DoingPerform sample, reagent and calibration preparation as directedCalibrate, operate, maintain, troubleshoot and conduct routine maintenance on all assigned instrumentsCompile, verify and validate accurate data recordsMeet quality assurance and turnaround specificationsFollow all Quality Control and Standard Operating ProceduresReport resultsOther duties as assignedWhat You Bring To The TablePost-secondary education with a technical diploma or Bachelor of Science in Chemistry2+ years laboratory experience with GC-MS, GC-MSMS and ICP-MSMS requiredExperience using Triple Quad Mass Spec (QQQ-MS) would be an assetFluency in English, both verbal and writtenAble to operate, troubleshoot and maintain analytical instrumentsIntermediate computer skillsKnowledge of full laboratory processesAbility to work in a positive manner in a fast-paced environmentWork EnvironmentThis position requires a person to stand, sit and lift throughout the shift in a laboratory environment. Manual dexterity is required to perform repetitive tasks.
