What you’ll do:
You will lead the Credit department to ensure it is operating efficiently and effectively through the implementation of best practices and technology. You will oversee credit management for the FCL group of companies and manage the relationship with both strategic and high-risk customers.
- You will oversee and monitor credit reviews of customer accounts utilizing resources such as credit bureau reports, financial statement reviews and industry analysis. You will analyze and report on high-risk accounts and determine when security is required. You will maintain the allowance for doubtful accounts.
- You will work with FCL group of companies to evaluate existing and potential key vendors used by the organization for counterparty risk. You will assess risk associated with pre-payment requests, potential supply agreements, vendor supply agreements, CRC trade partner and potential business opportunities.
- In collaboration with the Senior Manager of Credit Transformation, you will update and maintain the corporate credit policy by continuously monitoring corporate risk appetite, industry trends and changes to law and technology.
- You will oversee and monitor credit granting and process updates for all credit customers of the FCL group of companies to ensure they are in line with the credit policy. You will collaborate with the commodity groups to ensure they understand the credit policy and reasoning behind the decisions on their accounts.
- You will measure department performance and companywide credit risk management performance by benchmarking results with appropriate metrics.
- You will manage relations with collection agencies and other credit bureaus by conducting annual reviews, meeting with representatives, and negotiating terms/contracts.
- You will provide ongoing training of credit department staff across the CRS through credit courses and interactive training sessions.

**Who you are**:
You are looking for a career in Finance and:

- You have a bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
- You have a minimum of Minimum of 8+ years of relevant, progressively responsible. experience, including a minimum of 5+ years of experience in credit analysis or collections and 3+ years in a supervisory role or leading teams (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
- Professional accounting designation is required (CPA). Certified Credit Professional (CCP) certification and/or JD Edwards experience would be considered an asset.
