**Medical Office Assistant/Receptionist**

Nikali Clinic, located in downtown Toronto, is a new high-tech pain, functional and cosmetic medicine clinic in a premier clinical environment for pain treatment and health promotion. We are seeking an experienced medical office administrator who shares our passion for providing our community with compassion, and professional and respectful care.

As a MOA, you will have the opportunity to advance Nikali Clinic's mission of building a connected healthcare experience by helping to scale the Clinical Operations department. Reporting to the Medical Director and Clinical Manager, you will play a key role in running the day-to-day operations for the clinic platforms. Your roles will be:
1- Involved and lead day-to-day clinical operations for NIKALI clinic that could include coordinating the services with physicians, medical team, administration, and front-line staff, and setting policies to be used by various cross-functional teams.

2- Monitor clinical performance and quality and generate ideas to create and improve processes as the business grows.
- Assess and respond to information and consultation requests by providing information regarding Nikali Clinic services and referring the clients/patients to our physician for consultation and treatment. One or more information sources, and/or making/ensuring referral to another source for further assessment and response.
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel
- Schedule patient appointments and follow-up visits
- Maintain patient records and update electronic medical records
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
- Manage inventory of office and medical supplies

Qualifications:

- Graduate degree and/or equivalent experience in health, Marketing/business and social media is an asset.
- minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical clinic setting.
- Experienced working with EMR (Accuro)
- A comprehensive understanding of health promotion and the broad social determinants of health, millennium development goals mandates is an asset.
- Excellent oral and written proficiency in English.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

**Education**:

- Secondary School (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Medical office assistant: 1 year (preferred)
