**About the Dutch Street Market**

The Dutch Cultural Association of BC and Voor Urban Labs are looking for an Event Production Coordinator to support for the 3rd year of the annual Dutch Street Market in Vancouver.

For the past two years, the Dutch Street Market has taken place during the Labour Day long weekend, this year Aug 30-Sept 1, 2025. Dutch BC has been successful in gathering 50,000 people in the heart of Vancouver Downtown to share the aroma of Dutch street food, travelling exhibits, strong programming and education pieces, DJ sets, and traditional Dutch street-organ music.

One of Vancouver’s major streets will come alive for the end of summer for a vibrant celebration of traditional and contemporary Dutch culture. Discover what it means to be Dutch in British Columbia, with one of largest ethnic communities at 200,000 strong. The Market runs from 11am to 6pm for the 3 day weekend.

The Event Coordinator will support business development, production coordination, and work directly with Dutch BC Board members, Dutch Street Market staff, and the Voor Urban Labs team.

This position is funded by Canada Summer Jobs. Must be 30 years or under, Canadian citizen or with PR or refugee status.

**Business and Vendor Relations**
- Build and maintain relationships with key partners, business sponsors, and community organizations
- Identify and onboard new vendors, food trucks, performers, and small businesses for the market
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to enhance event visibility and experience; Support the Communications and Marketing team in the performance of their duties.
- Prepare and negotiate vendor packages and sponsorship deals
- Track performance and report on KPIs related to vendor acquisition and sponsorship growth
- Supervise key volunteer coordinator roles in infrastructure, set-up, takedown and production.
- Cooperate and support the Volunteer Coordinator in the performance of their duties.

**Who You Are**:

- Experienced in sales, partnerships, or business development
- A self-starter who thrives in dynamic, creative environments
- Excellent communicator - in English (some Dutch language level would be a bonus)
- Well-connected in the local cultural, food, or small business scenes
- Organized, goal-driven, and comfortable juggling multiple stakeholders
- Enthusiastic about community building and cultural events
- You may have Dutch ancestry

**Time commitment and salary**

You will be working from Voor Urban Labs office in Chinatown, Vancouver.
- There is flexibility to complete some hours remotely but 90% of the hours will be completed from the Chinatown office
- Payment works out to an approx. $6000 contract fee. Mandatory employer deductions will be administered.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 2 months

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

Work Location: In person
