**Position Summary**

The Collection Specialist is responsible for collecting outstanding Accounts Receivable Balances while maintaining positive Customer relationships.

**Standard Job Duties**
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments
- Contact customers for overdue payments
- Update account status and collection efforts
- Reconcile accounts
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues
- Follow up on customers paying by credit card
- Process credit card payments
- Respond to customer inquiries
- Send monthly statements
- Work with inside sales and sales rep to resolve customer issues.

**Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent. Post-secondary degree in finance or accounting preferred.
- Bilingual - 100% fluent in both English and French (read, speak, write).
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in collections.
- Experience in reconciling accounts.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong phone manner with the ability to multitask.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
