**General Accountability**:
As the Supply Chain Lead you are primarily responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of Profound’s supply chain. Manages schedules, suppliers, logistics, addressing and resolving issues, and building positive relationships within the supply chain. Supply chain lead maintains quality control, inventory, coordinate workers, and metrics. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provides mentorship and training within supply chain department
- Assists with setting the direction and growth of the supply chain department
- Procures materials components, equipment, supplies and services necessary for the operation of the company;
- Plan, schedule, and monitor goods and services to meet the production requirements of the company employing such techniques but not limited to JIT, Kanban, Blanket POs, and Reschedules;
- Plan / load demand into ERP system to drive purchasing requirements;
- Check requisitions and MRP requirements, contact and evaluate sources, examine bids and makes awards;
- Set-up and maintain material, supplier and planning system data in the MRP/ERP system;
- Ensure that material is received and material flow is well defined;
- Oversees Incoming Inspection, Equipment Calibration, and Non-Conformances;
- Manages inventory, inventory levels, cycle count program, and physical inventories;
- Responsible for the closure of ERP Jobs to ensure inventory accuracy for proper planning;
- Lead ECO Implementation by updating ERP Bills of Manufacturing when ECOs affect manufactured products;
- Oversees product distribution and logistics, including contract negotiation, carrier qualification and logistics issues;
- Exercise a good working knowledge of goods, services, and sources of supply to make purchases at prices consistent with quality and quantity requirements;
- Supports the implementation of supplier agreements, supplier quality agreements, volume pricing reductions, etc.
- Provides logistics support; Take on special assignments as warranted; such as projects to resource commodities
**Education and Certification**:
- BS in a Supply Chain and Operations Field, BA equivalent, certification, or relevant work experience
- PMAC designation (preferred)
**Key Attributes (experience, skills and technical knowledge)**:
- 5+ years of supply chain experience.
- Previous experience in a Medical Device Manufacturing environment is an asset
- Experience with MRP / ERP systems
- Experience in supply chain management and inventory control
- Demonstrated negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
- Must be organized and able to balance multiple priorities appropriately
- Detail-oriented, highly motivated, patient and diligent
