**Location: Calgary**
This position is responsible for preparing comprehensive, accurate and timely electrical estimates for small, medium and large scale RFQ’s for large commercial and industrial projects.
**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
- Develop estimate build-ups and communicate and coordinate internal RFQ details (heads-up) to management
- Communicate and coordinate RFQ documentation
- Complete accurate takeoffs from RFQs including written scopes of work and specifications
- Attend site walk throughs as required
- Communicate and coordinate material RFQ’s with central purchasing and suppliers
- Coordinate estimates with clients and key project stakeholders
- Input takeoff information into Accubid
- Advise key project stakeholders of estimate requirements
- Communicate 3rd party information to other departments
- Coordinate and create the project schedule of each estimate (including Microsoft Project, as required)
- Communicate and coordinate the tendering and award of sub-trade contracts, as required.
- Complete IFB’s and IFC’s, identify changes and cost impacts and provide on-going technical support to construction
- Collaborate and facilitate handover of project management to onsite Foreman/Superintendent
**Qualifications**
- Proficient use of computerized systems, project estimating tools and Microsoft Project and Excel skills are requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years related experience in an industrial setting including estimating experience.
- Experience with Accubid and Bluebeam software is preferred.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $36.00-$42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
