Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Electrical Estimator based in the Calgary area. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and managing accurate cost estimates for residential, commercial, and multi-family electrical projects.

Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing project specifications, interpreting blueprints, conducting site visits as needed, and collaborating closely with project managers and clients. The role also requires maintaining up-to-date knowledge of materials, labor costs, and relevant regulatory requirements within the electrical industry.

This individual will play a pivotal role in optimizing our estimating structure, improving efficiency, and driving best practices within the department. The ideal candidate is someone who not only excels in detailed cost estimation but also takes initiative in mentoring others and contributing to the overall success and growth of our team

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Electrical Estimating and Cost Control
  • Experience in Electrical Contracting and knowledge of Electricity principles
  • Understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts and practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline is an asset
  • Experience with estimation software and tools preferred (i.e. Accubid)
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations
