**HR/Pay Processing Specialist**
**Job Summary**:
The HR/Payment Processing Specialist is directly accountable to the Supervisor, HR. The HR/Payment Processing/Specialist has dual and diverse responsibilities: Process pay of the Owner Operators and perform some clerical support functions for HR.
**Job Duties**:
- Enter, verify, and adjust owner operator and company driver pay recs and reconcile paid dispatch listing.
- extra miles, LCV rate, border crossing, etc.
- Audit of dispatch entries to pay rec information and get approval for additional pay/corrections from Buffalo dispatch and/or linehaul supervisor
- Work on company driver payroll on trip corrections, missed pay, adjustments.
- Open and close pay runs weekly, bimonthly, and monthly.
- Maintain fuel spreadsheet for Comdata payment.
- Provide other reports to internal customers and external customers (break down of hours, benefit premiums, mileage numbers, union due listing, etc.)
- Maintain contractor file for owner operators
- Journal entries and reconciliations.
- HR clerical functions such as printing new hire kits, processing criminal background check, pre-screening, reference check, Clearinghouse searches, entering information in Kronos, faxing, photocopying, and filing, etc.
- Pay union dues and RRSP for owner operators in accordance with the union collective agreement. (monthly)
- Maintain mileage spreadsheet. (monthly)
- Complete Manitoba and Saskatchewan Sales Tax report (monthly/quarterly)
- Maintain dispatch spreadsheet. (monthly)
- Prepare owner operator statements by a specified deadline according to the union contract. (monthly)
- Pay owner operators on the required pay-dates according to the union contract. (monthly)
- Create Provincial Vehicle Tax file to charge owner operators for yearly license renewal (annually)
- Determine calendar scheduling for MCC and Mainframe jobs.
- Other duties as assigned in support of HR, payroll and Owner Operator pay.
**Working Conditions**:
Works within the Winnipeg General office - Monday to Friday, day shift.
**Competencies / Requirements**:
Completion of secondary school.
Working knowledge of MS Office Applications (Excel and Word)
Ability to work in a team environment and cross-training among different functions required.
Ability to maintain information in a confidential and secure manner.
Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
Attention to detail required.
General office experience required.
**Preferred**:
Familiarity with MCC and Mainframe
Familiarity with Oracle, Systemware, Comdata, Transman, and Kronos
Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
