This position entails teaching 6 undergraduate courses with priority given to the following: introductory psychology, research methods, advanced statistics, social psychology, psychology of women, cultural psychology, cognitive psychology, psychology of music, psycholinguistics, among other possibilities.

**Qualifications**:
Qualifications include a completed doctoral degree in Psychology; evidence of successful teaching; evidence of scholarly achievement commensurate with rank.

**About the Psychology Department, the University and the Island**:
The Psychology Department is especially diverse in the approaches taken to research big questions about human mind and behavior. We value, use, and teach both quantitative and qualitative methods for learning about our world. Our students build skills in critical and creative thinking, effective reading, writing, and oral communication, research, and independent and collaborative problem solving. Our honors program, which allows students to complete advanced research is exceptional. At the graduate level, the Department offers an PsyD degree, accredited by the Canadian Psychological Association.

The program is also home to the UPEI Psychology Training Clinic which serves as the primary training facility for students in the first two years of the program before students transition to external placements in the community.
