SALARY: $60,000
STATUS/LENGTH: 48 Months (4 Years)

**SUMMARY OF DUTIES**
Supports the office of Ward 2 City Councillor by:
- Providing administrative support including scheduling;
- Researching, analyzing, and reporting on assigned projects and tasks;
- Liaising with community members and groups; and
- Helping constituents to resolve issues, find solutions, and provide feedback
**GENERAL DUTIES**
- Monitors the general mailbox and forwards to appropriate staff
- Assists in directing telephone calls and responding to enquiries or referring to the appropriate individual
- Assists with preparation of agendas, briefing notes and provide background information binder for appointments
- Analyzes, compiles and reports on research results
- Provides project assistance as required including administrative and research support
- Prepares and/or composes a variety of routine correspondence, forms and reports
- Collects and compiles data and related background materials for various assigned projects
- Schedules and arranges meetings
- Project and event planning
- Performs other duties as assigned which are directly related to the major responsibilities of the position
**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience in a computerized work environment and a working knowledge of cloud-based word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation tools
- Analytical, statistical, and research skills
- Ability to balance a number of projects simultaneously
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Interested in learning both independently and through cross-training
- Willingness to share duties in small focused teams
**NON-ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in the arts, humanities, social sciences, or accounting
- Advanced research skills
- Experience writing policy, bylaws, procedures, manuals, or curriculum
- Ability to speak a language other than English fluently
**SALARY**:
