**The Role**:
**You'll be our PR consultant for an upcoming TV series that is currently in pre-production. Your role will involve communicating key messages, often using third-party endorsements, to define target audiences in order to establish and maintain goodwill and understanding between our organization and its public. This may occur between organizations or individuals, and the general public.**

As a PR consultant, you'll monitor publicity and conduct research to find out the concerns and expectations of this organization's stakeholders. You'll then report and explain the findings to its management.

This opportunity will involve:

- Supporting the CEO and their team members with the release and promotion of the series
- Manage publicity press reports and tracking of coverage
- Use a cultivated database to promote series

Duties to include,
- Processing of invoices & expenses
- Research and seek out sponsorship or partnership opportunities
- Providing press materials
- Research, write and distribute press releases to targeted media
- Booking departmental screening
- Preparing and shipping promotional items across the country
- Plan and develop PR strategies
- Build strong relationships and networks with colleagues, clients and the media and answer enquiries from the media and other organizations
- Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites and blogs, for opportunities for clients
- Devise photo opportunities and coordinate studio or location photography
- Organize events (such as screenings or promotional events)
- Manage and update information and engage with users on social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook
- Manage the PR aspect of a potential crisis situation.

Key Competencies
- Past experience with PR work is encouraged
- Knowledge of PR with respect to media, film, and TV
- Skilled in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat
- A positive and enthusiastic approach to the job and a willingness to learn.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Part-time hours: 15-20 per week

**Salary**: $35.00 per hour

Flexible language requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- On call
- Weekend availability

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Experience**:
