Located in the clean, cool forests of Nova Scotia's Cobequid Mountains, **Breathing Green Solutions is Nova Scotia's first licensed cannabis producer**. Our proprietary **PurePlant** growing method allows us to deliver the most pristine, reliable, and trustworthy cannabis products to our patients and customers everywhere. We’re committed to quality, sustainability, and the well-being of our team and community.
**Your New Role**
As a **Sanitation Technician**, your key responsibilities will include:
- Cleaning equipment and tools used in production
- Performing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning of cultivation areas, including walls, floors, and grow rooms
- Sanitizing rooms, equipment, and workspaces following GACP and Health Canada regulations
- Supporting pest management and biosecurity protocols
- Following all sanitation SOPs and safety procedures for chemical handling and PPE
- Gathering and disposing of trash and recycling
- Accurately completing cleaning logs and documentation
- Collaborating with quality assurance to meet cleaning standards
- Assisting with sanitation-related tasks in other departments when needed
You will be required to wear standard PPE (scrubs, lab coat, and masks) while working and could be responsible to assist other divisions with their tasks (ie: Packaging, Harvesting, etc.)
**What You Need to Succeed - Qualifications**
- Proven experience in sanitation, janitorial, or cleaning roles—ideally in a production, industrial, or cultivation environment
- Ability to stand for long periods, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Have the Flexibility to clean in tight spaces and hard-to-reach areas
- Valid WHMIS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Dependable and self-motivated with a positive attitude
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and complete documentation accurately
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
