Preroll Technician

We are looking for a Preroll Technician to join our Processing Team working on an evening shift This position works closely with the supervisor and other technicians to ensure all areas of the department are functioning according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with all regulations. This position is responsible for following SOP procedures, and ensuring compliance with the Cannabis Act & Regulations.
Key Accountabilities
- Responsible for Operating the PreRoll-ER (100 & 200), including setup, cleaning, sanitation, machine flips, daily reporting, and all other associated forms.
- Perform duties in all stages of packaging, including canning setup/prep, bulk product handling, spot trimming, weighing, scanning, labeling, counting, storage, excising, casing, and palletizing and perform associated AMPLE entries.
- Maintain levels of working/supply inventory (Cones, Tubes, and totes and notify the Supervisor when supplies are low (trigger for order request).
- Operate equipment such as the Canning Line, Tabletop Labeler, Vacuum Sealer, Tube Labeler/Excising, Heat Sealer (tabletop), and Bag Labeler/Excising Machine.
- Participate in the cleaning and sanitation of processing and packaging areas and all equipment by following established SOPs and WHMIS guidelines.
- Ensure all cannabis products are free from contamination risk at all processing stages.
- Assist with duties in other departments, such as cultivation, including pruning, harvesting, trimming, tear down, clean up, and sanitation.
- Wear proper PPE and handle chemicals as per product SDS and WHMIS guidelines.
- Perform other duties as operationally required.
Working Conditions
- Work environment can be warm/humid or cool with forced airflow.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
- Standing or sitting for long periods.
- Performing repetitive tasks requiring excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Rotating shift work in some units, with extra shifts required during peak times.
Experience and Education
- 1 year of relevant work experience (i.e. machine operator)
- High School Completion (or Equivalent).
- Keen attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (fluent in English).
- Ability to work well within a team setting and individually when required.
- Experience using computer systems (MS Office etc.).
**Requirements**:
Successful completion of a security/background check.

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 42.5 per week
