PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or related field with one year (min) of relevant experience (or equivalent work experience)

We are recruiting for a motivated bioinformatics postdoc**,** who will, in consultation with the Principal Investigator, lab researchers, and collaborators, create innovative technological and methodological strategies to enhance cancer screening, early detection, mechanisms, and therapeutics. Collaborating with computational and experimental biologists as well as clinicians, they will analyze and interpret extensive multi-omics datasets, including whole genome/exome sequencing, RNA-seq, single-cell, and spatial -omic datasets.

**Requirements**:

- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or related field with one year (min) of relevant experience (or equivalent work experience)
- Strong communication, collaboration, project management and mentoring skills
- Strong background in bioinformatics and biostatistics
- Fluency in programming languages, such as Python, R, Matlab, Java, C
- Experience working with a UNIX/Linux environment
- Excellent communication and fluency in both spoken and written English

**Additional assets (but not required)**
- Background in cancer biology and molecular biology is considered an asset
- Highly motivated with excellent time management skills
- Familiarity with machine and statistical learning is considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to learn new techniques and train others is desired
- Experience with multi-omics data is considered an asset

This postdoc fellowship provides a unique interdisciplinary opportunity to leverage integrated multi-omics approaches to systematically discover cancer mechanisms and therapeutic targets of hard-to-treat cancers, leading to future personalized medicine.
