We are seeking a **Laboratory Technician **for our Edmonton location. This position provides the opportunity to work for a growing company, achieve professional growth within the organization and cross-train in a variety of techniques.

Reporting to the Supervisor-Chemistry, the Laboratory Technician-Chemistry will be responsible for the following:

- Routine testing of client supplied samples in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly verifications.

**Duties and responsibilities include but not necessarily limited to**:

- Prepare analytical standards
- Perform daily balance verification
- Perform monthly pipette verification
- Perform daily stability chamber
- Weigh samples
- Perform sample processing in accordance with standard operating procedures
- Maintain records of raw data in Labs-Mart lab notebooks
- Record final data in Labs-Mart database
- Calibration and maintenance of analytical instruments, (Spectrophotometers, Meters, Titrators)
- The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Diploma, Degree or equivalent experience
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- 0-3 years' experience working in a commercial laboratory setting
- Working knowledge of GMP and/or ISO guidelines would be an asset
- Ability to multi-task
- Good attention to detail
