advice, guidance and leadership to both the practice owners and all staff. Some of the responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to full cycle recruitment, developing and implementing training and development plans, and stewardship of health, safety and wellness programs.

Job Duties include, but are not limited to
- Providing direct HR leadership and guidance to clinical staff, including Animal Care Assistants, Registered Veterinary Technicians, and Customer Service Representatives, as well as providing HR guidance and advise to the Practice Owners
- Provide support for all staff feedback, complaints and inquiries; record and investigate and adjudicate on said investigations as appropriate
- Research and develop employee engagement and retention strategies, implementing value add programs and practices
- Develop and administer the health and safety program of the clinic, in accordance with legislation and best practice standards
- Develop, implement and maintain all HR policies, procedures and practices for the effective people management of the clinic
- Develop, administer and evaluate annual performance review cycle and related merit increase plan
- Serve as the clinics benefits administrator, executing enrollments, terminations and changes on the benefits providers system; participate in benefit contract discussions as required
- Manage payroll.

Minimum Qualifications
- Post Secondary Education in a relevant field, such as business administration or humanresources, or equivalent combination of education and experience; University Degree in Industrial Relations preferred
- 3-5 years experience in Human Resources Management providing effective employee & labour relations advice and guidance
- Previous experience as a formal people manager required
- Knowledge of 24h medical environment preferred
- Experience developing and implementing HR processes and programs, demonstrating a big picture attitude & understanding the correlation between all internal processes
- Demonstrated emotional intelligence with a high degree of compassion, sympathy and patience
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with an eye for process improvement and development
- Demonstrated customer service experience skills
- Demonstrated conflict resolution and mediation skills
- Demonstrated communications skills both written and verbal
