**About the Role**

As the **Lead Flight Dispatcher**, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, flight planning, and dispatching while leading a team of dispatchers. Your role will include coordinating daily operations, managing scheduling logistics, and maintaining compliance with aviation regulations. You will also be responsible for team oversight, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting both students and colleagues with their operational needs.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Lead and manage the dispatch team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship.
  • Ensure all dispatch duties comply with Canadian Aviation Regulations.
  • Oversee and manage daily flight scheduling, optimizing efficiency.
  • Review and update dispatch documentation and manuals as required.
  • Authorize and release flights in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Monitor aircraft movements and conduct flight following.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to students and visitors.
  • Handle invoicing for students and customers.
  • Welcome and assist walk-in customers.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk and lounge area.
  • Monitor and restock office supplies to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist the Chief Flight Instructor and Operations Manager with additional tasks as needed.

**What We’re Looking For**

  • **Experience**: Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • **Skills**: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • **Detail-Oriented**: Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • **Tech-Savvy**: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including Excel (charts, graphs, conditional formatting).
  • **Customer-Focused**: A strong commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • **Adaptability**: Comfortable working flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends as required. The role will require approximately 30 hours per week.
