**Position Summary**

The Dispatcher serves as the direct point of contact for a group of Vendors. The Dispatcher plays a key role in managing the day-to-day operational requirements of the business. The Dispatcher is the “go to” person to help minimize or remove barriers to support Vendors in meeting on-time delivery service standards.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Lead and dispatch a group of Vendors who are responsible for following SOPs and delivery protocols
- Assist with loading vehicles from time to time as well as push and pull carts
- Assign and monitor routes, and coordinate rescue plans as necessary
- Encourage and advocate safe driving practices
- Manage Vendor’s routes based on the company needs
- Compile daily, weekly, monthly reporting as necessary
- Ensure vehicle inspection reports are precise and complete
- Audit vehicles as necessary
- Assist the Operations Manager as needed

**SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum one (1) year experience routing and dispatching a fleet of drivers
- Minimum two (2) year experience in a customer service-oriented role
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong computer literacy required, particularly Microsoft Office/Excel
- Post-secondary education in transportation, operations or logistics an asset
- Previous experience with scheduling is an asset
