- The Disclosure Advisor reviews charge packages for court disclosure to improve the quality of reporting. In addition, the Advisor coaches and trains District employees to maximize document preparation results and prosecutorial success. Primary duties include:

- Liaise between District employees and other police agencies, court clerks¿ offices for adult and youth courts and prosecutors¿ offices. Attend meetings as required.
- Advise appropriate District employees about document deficiencies with the goal of correcting the error(s) and educating employees to increase proficiency in processing court related documents.
- Correct identified minor errors to minimize inconvenience to District employees, recognizing when more significant errors need to be dealt with involving the appropriate individual.
- Keep current with changes in law and court decisions that may affect procedures for District employees and communicate changes as necessary.

**Qualifications**
- A High School or equivalency (e.g. G.E.D.).
- Minimum of 3 job-related courses. Relevant coursework could include: Investigative Report Writing; Search and Seizure; Criminal Law; Criminal Justice; Procedures and Evidence.
- A minimum of 5 years related investigative experience.
- Experience with the Niche Records Management System, Justice On-Line Network (JOIN) and Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC) are considered assets.
- Success in this position requires efficiency and thoroughness, service orientation, stress tolerance and team building and teamwork. An effective communicator with a focus on results and the ability to build strong relationships.

**Pre-employment Requirements**
- An enhanced security clearance will be conducted.
- Successful applicants must provide proof of qualifications. Education obtained from out of country must have or be able to obtain, an Education Credential Assessment (ECA) for confirmation of equivalent credentials.
