Social Media Representative

The Social Media Representative is responsible for optimizing West Edmonton Mall’s (WEM) digital presence on social media channels through community support via CRM tools, content development, and creating engaging copy.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Attending to all comments, concerns, and customer queries on WEM social media channels and WEM CRM platforms.
- Liaising with fellow Social Media Representatives and the Social Media Team Lead to optimize WEM’s social media goals.
- Assisting in content development and real-time posting across social media channels, including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, as well as any potential new media platforms.
- Acting as an effective copywriter, connecting with WEM’s target audience and maintaining a keen attention to detail by proofreading copies daily to prevent grammatical, punctuation, and spelling errors.
- Reviewing all social media posts for accuracy and ensuring any inappropriate content on WEM’s social channels is removed in accordance with WEM’s digital brand alignment.
- Actively monitoring WEM’s social media community conversation via CRM tools, communicating and compiling feedback.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of WEM products and services to effectively communicate with customers.
- Attending WEM events and producing live social media content.
- Staying informed on social media trends, innovations, and changes.

**Desired Qualifications**:

- Degree or certificate in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related discipline is an asset.
- In-depth knowledge of social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Strong multi-tasking, organizational and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in an ever-evolving, fast paced environment complemented by the capacity to respond effectively under pressure.
- Strong customer service and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and resourceful to problem solve when dealing with guest inquiries and general communication.

**Terms of Employment**:

- This is a part-time position that requires flexible availability including early-evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $16.50 per hour
