**Parkinson Canada Volunteer Opportunity**

**Volunteer SuperWalk Coordinator**

Parkinson Canada believes in a better life today for People Living with Parkinson's, and a world without Parkinson's tomorrow. Canada has some of the world's highest rates, and it is growing quickly. People living with Parkinson's are at the centre of everything we do at Parkinson Canada. We provide education and services, and we advocate with federal, provincial, and territorial governments on issues that matter to the Parkinson's community in Canada. The Parkinson Research Program funds innovative research to search for better treatments and a cure.

**The Opportunity**

SuperWalk Coordinators play a pivotal role in raising awareness and funds for people living with Parkinson's. They champion and lead the coordination of SuperWalk in communities, from start to finish, with support from Parkinson Canada. Selecting and securing site for SuperWalk

Preparing a budget for the local event

Sourcing local sponsorships

Recruiting and providing leadership for the organizing committee

You will work with an excellent group of people and be able to network with others in a related field. Most importantly you will make an impact in the lives of those living with Parkinson's.

**Commitment**

The time commitment for this opportunity is March to October 6-8 hours per month, including monthly meetings and post event wrap up. You will also attend the event which is usually held in early September.
