**Note that the training will be done at the Lachine location but the work will be in Ville St-Laurent on Hodge street**

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Act as primary point-of-contact for clients and build strong, professional relationships with customers and internal operational teams.
- Ensure full understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) in order to ensure billing functions are captured accurately and on time.
- Open and close the building, be reliable for both functions.
- Drive the forklift to assist placement and load/unload of palettes.
- Supervise production operation in accordance with customer guidelines and requirements including quality assurance and customer expectations.
- Supervise all staff reporting to the position so as to effectively supervise, train, evaluate, motivate, delegate and monitor their activities.
- Reallocate manpower daily as needed due to priority changes or available resources
- Ensure that security policies are enforced at all times including building security as related to opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure that staff has all the tools necessary for efficient and accurate job completion.
- Attend daily planning meetings to ensure efficient and adequate distribution of labor in all departments
- Manage daily production needs through labour planning tools to ensure maximum utilization of staff in all areas and make sure all production numbers are met..
- Review productivity dashboard regularly. Spend 60 percent at minimum on the floor, constantly following up with Team leads on productivity.
- Ensure established labor and production targets are met in all departments and ensure accountability at all levels, supervisory, lead hand and associate.
- Be the main operational point of contact with the Customer. Work closely with Customer Service and Sales to ensure optimal customer service is provided and that all objectives set are achievable and within the guidelines.
- Manage the performance management process - progressive counseling and performance reviews.
- Foster an environment that promotes teamwork, employee development and job satisfaction.
- Review and approve time cards and time sheets, work closely with administrative staff to ensure timely reporting to Payroll Dept.
- Responsible for Housekeeping, building maintenance and ordering of supplies
- supply order approvals, managing cleaners, inform Facility Management of building issues.
- Develop and/or maintain KPI’s and ensure achievement of team’s assigned KPIs.
- Achieve department objectives.

**Health and Safety Responsibilities**

- Ensure Associates receive adequate training as it relates to safety in the workplace.
- Is accountable for the health and safety of those under their supervision.
- Enforce rules, procedures, and safe work practices
- Ensure that machinery and/or equipment are safe and that associates follow established safe work practices and procedures.

**Requirements and Qualifications**
- Preferred 2-3 years supervision/Management experience.
- Knowledge of distribution operating systems, WMS
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, with the ability to manage for results
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid forklift license
- First aide certified (or be wiling to be certified)
- Demonstrated ability to coach and develop team members
- Ability to proactively plan and organize work to accomplish goals
- Strong time management skills.
