**Overview**

It is the responsibility of the Shipper/Receiver-Forklift Operator to ensure the safety and well-being of all individuals, volunteers, visitors, and colleagues. The position will receive material and ship finished products in a timely and safe manner and must maintain positive customer service interactions. This position is required to follow health and safety standards and organizational policies and procedures.

We are looking for the right person who has these essential skills;
- Loading and unloading of goods using the forklift. Lumber knowledge is an asset.
- Ability to work in all outdoor conditions
- Complete the necessary paperwork related to shipping and receiving, production, etc.
- Follow the preventative maintenance program and use of PPE's.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills,
- Flexibility to change based on requests from Production Supervisor and operational demands.
- Ability to meet production targets and positively respond to suggestions.
- Ability to safely and efficiently perform under pressure and during or repetitive tasks
- Strong ability to take direction, coordinate, problem solve and work effectively as part of a high performing team.
- Ability to follow safe work practices and positively influence safety conscious culture.
- Excellent Customer Service
- Self-motivated, willingness to learn, reliable and dependable

**Additional Requirements**
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Forklift Operator
- Knowledgeable about raw materials/products and quality control measurements preferred
- Ability to independently lift 50 lbs of weight
- Police Information Check Certificate obtained within the past three months or upon hire.
- Emergency First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certification would be required.
