Operations Manager

**Position**:Operations Manager - Maintenance/Snow

**Reports to**: Owner or General Manager

Conestoga Contracting Group is a full-service landscape design/build and maintenance company servicing the residential, commercial, municipal markets in Waterloo Region and Wellington County. We provide beautiful, safe and productive environments for our clients facilities and homes.

The purpose of a Division Manager - Maintenance/Snow at Conestoga Contracting Group is to manage the Maintenance Division as a whole and to lead the maintenance team to a successful outcome for our clients, Company as a whole and to develop and execute on strategy and coaching to efficient, safe and profitable operations.

**Areas of responsibility**
- Ability to take direction from company president.
- Initiates call to route managers to be prepared of impending storms.
- Initiates call to route managers to ‘kick off’ plowing operations.
- Over-sees all route snow operations.
- Assists route managers in equipment allocation in event of shortages.
- Facilitates coordination of all sub-contractors and relationships.
- Facilitates coordination of all salting and liquid de-icing operations.
- Prepares snow plans for new and existing accounts.
- Calculates production rates for each account for job costing.
- Assists crew leader in orchestrating the efficient and timely use of sub-contractors.
- Insures the completion of required paper work from route manager.
- Leads crew leaders to work in a ‘team approach’
- To understand and be committed to providing services that meets and exceeds the company standards.
- To insure customer satisfaction through successful completion of plowing operations.
- To communicate with client base to insure customer satisfaction.
- To insure that all safety policies are enforced with regards to safe plowing operations.
- To assist company president at all times as required.
- To help facilitate the completion of plowing operations within the projected target hours.
- To complete all required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ability to manage multiple crews simultaneously.
- Narrates all snow operations meetings.
- Assists crew leaders in the training of Sub-contractors on how to facilitate the ‘timely and efficient snow plowing operation’ of each assigned site.
- To over-see all job costing, profit and loss and accurate accounting of snow operations.
- Follow all company safety guidelines and procedures.
- Perform site inspections during and after snowstorms to insure successful completion of route.
- Facilitate all sales and marketing of division to meet sales goals and objeLead a team of Account managers, Production Managers, Field Crew Leaders and Technicians to achieve a level of excellence in quality delivery and customer satisfaction.

- Be accessible to the field team as well as the client to ensure timely response to their needs if required
- Achieve measurable set out by company with in a reasonable time period mutually agreed upon.
- Facilitating the successful execution of contracts and projects so they are completed on time, on budget and to scope.
- Ensuring our entire CCG team is safe, trained to be safe, and safety is enforced.
- Not limited to the above scope, you could be asked to carry out special projects for CCG at any time to further the advancement of the company as a whole.

**Qualifications**
- 5+ years similar experience in Facilities maintenance, Landscape, Snow etc.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with an attention to detail.
- Proficient Microsoft OS and IOS

**Requirements**:

- Division Manager is required to use Company supplied communications.
- Experience using QuickBooks, MS office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
- The PME is required to dress, Behave, and always conduct themselves in a professional manor. They are a representation of our company and often first contact and last.
- Ability to work hours required to be accessible to clients, team etc. 24/7 on call in winter.

**Compensation(s)**:
Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $90,000 + Bonus Potentials

**Transportation**:The Division Manager is required to use Pool vehicles only for contract probation period. There could be potential of a Company Vehicle after contract probation.
