**Position overview**:
The Finance Manager is a highly motivated professional with a CPA designation and audit experience at a public accounting firm. The individual is interested in understanding trends and drivers of the P&L with a focus on expense and enjoys working with and coaching others. The individual will be responsible for accounting for and understanding the operating expenses of the company and for creating and presenting analytics on risks and opportunities to various business/department heads and the CFO.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and present P&L analytics as relates to operating expenses on a monthly basis
- Create analytics for compensation including headcount and for selling, general & administrative expenses including drivers
- Use trends to flag areas of risk/opportunity to the business or department head; investigate areas of concern
- Prepare expense forecasts in conjunction with the FP&A team
- Identify opportunities for accurate estimates/accruals
- Support the preparation of quarterly financial statements and MD&A
- Support the audit process
- Ad hoc projects such as business case analysis for initiatives, implementation of management reporting, developing policies and documentation where necessary

**Qualifications**:

- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong attention to detail and capability to self-review
- Demonstrate ability to identify issues and develop recommendations
- Strong verbal and written skills and ability to communicate clearly and concisely
- Team-oriented and desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment

**Education**:

- Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree in accounting, economics, finance, or a related field is required for this position
- Chartered professional accounting designation
