RWDI is seeking a detail-oriented **Payroll Specialist** to manage payroll processes across Canada and the United States, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role will report to the Leader, Human Resources Systems & Operational Excellence.
**Key Accountabilities**
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees in Canada and the US.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and provincial regulations.
- Maintain and update payroll records and reports.
- Handle payroll tax filings and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to ensure accurate employee data.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.
- Stay current with changes in payroll legislation in both countries.
- Assist with the setup and support for all mergers & acquisitions in North America.
**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in payroll processing for Canada and the US.
- Professional Payroll Certification (CPP or PCP)
- Knowledge of payroll software (e.g., Ceridian Dayforce).
- Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills.
- Customer-focused, proactive problem-solver with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- High integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
